Following the introduction of Bullet Seating Micrometers for our standard series of seating dies, customers have been asking for complete die sets with this added precision.

Redding has now added two popular upgrades to a select group of dies to create the new “Premium” Die Sets.The upgrades include combining a Carbide Size Button in the full length sizing die and the Bullet Seating Micrometer on the seating die.

Two types of “Premium” Die Sets are available.
1. The “Premium” Full Length, two (2) die set; contains a carbide Size Button in the full length sizing die and the Bullet Seating Micrometer on the seating die.
2. The “Premium” Deluxe, three (3) die set; contains the “Premium” two (2) die set (described above) with the addition of a standard neck sizing die.

Premium Series Handgun Die Sets

The Premium Die Set for Handgun Cartridges consists of a three (3) die set which contains the following; a Titanium Carbide Sizing Die, a unique Special Expander Die and a Premium Seating Die with our (Std) Bullet Seating Micrometer.

All dies have a large entry taper/radius for easy case entry and high production. The unique design of the special expander performs four distinct functions. The smooth entry radius is followed by the correct expanding diameter for proper press fit of the bullets. The upper section of the expanding diameter has a concentric ring which opens the case mouth slightly larger than bullet diameter to enhance bullet alignment. The final taper can provide a bellmouth on the case mouth when desired, usually when using lead bullets.
