Tight Cutter Thread on Case Length Gauge

Screwing A Cutter Onto The Case Length Gauge

The case length gauge thread is split and spread so that it does not screw in (or out) of the cutter easily. If it did it would be too easy for the gauge to move without the operator knowing it, which would mess up the length of the case. Hold the case length gauge with a pair of pliers when screwing it into the cutter. If you wrap a shop rag around the case length gauge it will prevent the pliers from marring the gauge.
